GROWTH + DEVELOPMENT
Primary teeth are extremely important during the growth and development phase of your child's life. Primary (baby) teeth are the natural placeholders for the adult teeth. Without these teeth, kids often have issues of space loss, bone loss, and growth deficiencies. Teeth are also very important for maintaining healthy bone and gum tissue.
Its pretty obvious that without teeth our diet is very limited. It is well known that children suffering from dental pain and/or tooth loss have a difficult time eating. Children need a tremendous amount of nutrition during the early years when their body is developing at a rapid pace. Kids suffering from nutritional deficiencies tend to be under-weight, generally malnourished and often fall behind in their ability to learn in school.
FEEL GOOD + LOOK GOOD
Self-confidence and self-esteem are important during a child's school-age years. When children feel good about themselves, they are more likely to participate in sports, weekend activities and meet new friends. When children are self-conscious about the way they look, for example, if their teeth are discolored, broken down and missing, they are less likely to be social.
"Children suffering from toothaches or loss of teeth tend to do worse in school than their peers"
Children suffering from toothaches or loss of teeth tend to do worse in school than their peers. Children have a very difficult time focusing on their studies when they have oral discomfort. These children also tend to miss a lot of school leading to gaps in their education.
